How to Keep Track of Client Payments for Performances

One of the most important aspects of organizing a performance is finances. BookLive makes it easy to keep track of payments made towards a performance so you can see how much money is available to pay out to your performers. In order to track payments, you’ll need to already have a BookLive account, and have already set up your performance.

 

  1. Register for a BookLive account if you haven’t already

  2. Set up a performance

  3. Decide if you’d like to accept credit cards for this performance.

  4. If your client pays for the performance with a credit card, each payment will be automatically logged.

  5. In the Performance Overview page, scroll down to Client Payments to view an up-to-date list of all payments the client has made.

  6. If you’d like to add a non-credit card payment (e.g. Cash, Check or Venmo), click “Add Payment”

  7. Select the Payment Method

  8. Enter in the dollar amount paid.

  9. Click Save.

 

If your client has paid with credit card, these funds are available to Pay Other Musicians or to withdraw. Make sure to keep enough funds to pay out your musicians.
