How to Create a Performance’s Timeline

Once you’ve set up a performance, it’s essential to create an accurate timeline for the performance. When you set up a timeline on BookLive, you’ll be able to quickly communicate the event details to your musicians so you’re all on the same page.

 

  1. Set up a BookLive account if you haven’t done so

  2. Set up a performance

  3. On the Performance Overview page, find the Timeline panel.

  4. Click “Add Event” to open the dialog box.

  5. Type in the event’s name (e.g. Call Time, Bridal Procession, etc.)

  6. Optionally, type in the event’s description.

  7. Choose the event’s start time.

  8. Indicate the event’s duration (e.g. 60 minutes)

  9. Click Save. The event will then appear on the Performance’s timeline, and you can click the pencil icon to edit or delete the event.

  10. Repeat steps 4 to 9 for each Event within the Performance.

 

After you’ve set up the Performance’s Timeline, the musicians you’ve added to the Performance will be able to view the timeline from their own Performance Overview. You can now add songs to timeline events to create a Performance’s Setlist.
